Solitude is another reason we chose to live in the country. To have the time to take in what is all around us, and the quiet space to contemplate. We live in a world with so much noise, always something going on.
Too often we live in this place of hurry where we don't see what we have. We rush to do so many "important" things and lose touch with the most valuable element of life...the smell of rain-washed air, the crunch of pine needles in a shady woods, the twitter of birds from all sides, the feel of sunshine on your back. The peace of just "being" someplace that holds the beauty of creation.
