About the Photos

Some of the photos I use to illustrate points on this site are photos taken by myself, or by family members. But one special photographer's work appears here frequently, and I would love for you to get acquanted with his work even better. He seems to love these mountains as much as I do! D. L. We are battling with sniffles and sneezes and congestion lately, typical symptoms of the changing seasons. Some call it allergies, some say it's a cold, but we feel confident it's just our bodies making the transition from one season to another.

We are starting to say goodbye to summer temperatures and sleeveless clothing, trading them for nighttime blankets and sweats and socks. We'll still have a few hot days left to surprise us, but we are conscious of the approaching autumn chill and morning fog. Soon the leaves will start their annual color shift and we'll enjoy the last blaze of color before winter comes.

One friend said she hates autumn because it lets her know winter is not far off, and she hates cold weather. She can't enjoy the beauty of now because she's dreading something out in the future. How sad to live in that kind of mindset.  I guess some folks just don't know how to embrace change.
