About the Photos

Some of the photos I use to illustrate points on this site are photos taken by myself, or by family members. Solitude is another reason we chose to live in the country. To have the time to take in what is all around us, and the quiet space to contemplate. We live in a world with so much noise, always something going on.

There are mixed blessings with the crazy economy we're grappling with.  Some I already made use of, such as consolidating trips to town.  When you move to the country, you don't dash into town a couple of times a day like we did in the suburbs.

A thunderstorm just rolled through these hills.  The rumble echoed and rolled, it was a magnificent thing. This time the rain came steady but not in a downpour, like earlier this week.
